19:11. Understeering switch

The understeering switch consists of the connector fixed by a collar on an arm of a shaft of the steering mechanism, and two switches. The lever of the left switch indexes of turns join and light of headlights switches, the lever of right — the cleaner and a washer of a windshield join.

Provisions of levers of the understeering switch:

1 - lever of the switch of indexes of turns and light of headlights. I - indexes of turns are switched off; passing beam of headlights is turned on if headlights are included by the switch of external lighting; II - are included indexes of the left turn (not fixed situation); III - are included indexes of the left turn (the fixed situation); IV - are included indexes of the right turn (not fixed situation); V - indexes of the right turn (the fixed situation) are included; VI - (on itself) turned on driving beam of headlights irrespective of position of the switch of external lighting (not fixed situation); VII - (from itself) turned on driving beam of headlights if headlights (the fixed situation) are included by the switch of external lighting.

2 - lever of the switch of cleaners and washers of glasses. I - screenwash is switched off; By II - the faltering operating mode of screenwash (not fixed situation) is included; By III - the faltering operating mode of screenwash (the fixed situation) is included; By IV - the first speed of screenwash is included; V - the second speed of screenwash is included; VI - (on themselves, irrespective of position of the lever) are included a washer and screenwash (not fixed situation).

Before removal of the understeering switch we disconnect a wire of "weight" from the rechargeable battery. We remove a steering wheel (cm "Removal of a steering wheel")

By the crosswise screw-driver it is turned off four screws connecting two parts of a casing of a steering column.

The same tool we unscrew the self-tapping screw of fastening of the lower part of a casing to the understeering switch...

... and the self-tapping screw fixing the lower part of a casing to an arm of a steering column.

We remove top...

... and lower parts of a casing.

Key "on 8" we weaken a coupling bolt of a collar of a connector of the understeering switch...

... also we remove the understeering switch from a steering shaft.

We disconnect a wire of a sound signal...

... and two blocks of plaits of wires from the right and left switches.

Having squeezed fingers clamps, we remove the right understeering switch.

Similarly we remove the left understeering switch.

We install the understeering switch and the removed details in the return sequence.
