13.3. Removal of cardan transfer

We perform work on a viewing ditch or the elevator.

We install the gear shifting box lever in neutral situation and we lower the lever of the parking brake. Operations on dismantle of cardan transfer on cars with VAZ and Izhevsk transmissions are almost identical.

We show removal of cardan transfer on the car with the Izh-2126 transmission.

Key "on 13" we turn off two nuts of fastening of an arm of safety to a body floor...

... also we remove an arm from hairpins.

We put on a collar of worm type the elastic coupling. Diameter of a collar has to be not less than 150 mm. It is possible to manage two collars with a diameter of 60-80 mm linked with each other.

We tighten a collar on the coupling.

Cap key "on 19" we turn off a nut of a hairpin of fastening of the coupling to a transmission flange. We hold a shaft from a provorachivaniye an assembly shovel.

Turning a shaft, similarly we turn off two more nuts of fastening of the coupling to a transmission flange.

Assembly shovel we shift the coupling with its flange along shliyets of a shaft of the forward driveshaft.

Cap key "on 13" we turn off two nuts of fastening of an arm of an intermediate support to a body.

We remove an arm from hairpins.

In each opening of an arm plugs are installed:

... metal remote...

... and rubber.

Holding a cap key "on 13" a bolt of fastening of a fork of the back driveshaft to a flange of the leading gear wheel of the main transfer, Rozhkov a key of the same dimension we turn off a nut.

Similarly we turn off nuts of three more bolts and we take out them.

Having separated a flange fork of the back driveshaft and a flange of the leading gear wheel of the main transfer, we hold the back driveshaft from falling. Having shifted cardan transfer back, we remove the elastic coupling from transmission flange hairpins...

... also we remove cardan transfer.

For replacement of a sealant of shliyets of a shaft of the forward driveshaft...

... we remove it from a cylindrical corbel of a nut of fastening of a flange of a secondary shaft of the transmission.

For removal of the aligning ring of a flange of the elastic coupling from a shaft of a secondary shaft of the transmission...

... by kruglogubets it is unclenched a lock ring, we hook the screw-driver...

... also we remove it.

Hooking the aligning ring the screw-driver, we shift it from a shaft shaft.

We insert a rozhkovy key into the gap formed between end faces of a ring and a nut "on 17".

Leaning a key against a nut...

... we remove the aligning ring.

Before installation of cardan transfer...

... a tool head of the suitable size (or a pipe piece) napressovyvay on a shaft of a secondary shaft of the transmission the aligning plug.

We establish cardan transfer in the return sequence.

When replacing an intermediate support of cardan transfer or details of a back suspension bracket influencing position of the back bridge concerning a body...
